  BIOGRAPHY

With 14 Grand Slam singles titles, more than any other man ever to pick up a racket, Pete Sampras is considered to be the greatest tennis player of all time. Sampras’ demolishing serves gave way to the nickname, “Pistol Pete”. Ranked No.1 on the ATP Tour for a record breaking six consecutive years (1993-1998), Sampras is ready to return to competitive tennis by way of the Outback Champions Series.

 
  CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
14 Grand Slam titles during his 15 year ATP career. Winning 7 Wimbledon titles, 5 U.S. Open titles and 2 Australian Open titles.
Pete turned professional at age 17 and won the title at the U.S. Open at age 19, making him the youngest male to ever win the event.
A U.S. Davis Cup team member for eight years, Sampras also led the 1992 and 1995 cup teams to victory.
Sampras was recently announced as a 2007 inductee into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
64 singles career titles (14 Grand Slam titles and 11 ATP Masters Series titles).
