  BIOGRAPHY

Undoubtedly one of the best clay court players the game of tennis has ever known, Thomas Muster has been named the "King of Clay." His unwavering determination, unforgiving left-handed topspin forehand, and superior fitness level landed him 44 ATP Tour career singles titles.

  CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Muster is currently the No.1 ranked player on the European Champions Tour.
In 1986, he won his first ATP Tour title in singles at Hilversum (Netherlands).
In 1989, Muster became the first Austrian to break into the World's Top 10.
Muster seized his only Grand Slam title in 1995 at the French Open, defeating American prodigy Michael Chang in three straight sets.
Winning 12 of 14 finals in 1995, Muster achieved the longest tour winning streak on clay since Bjorn Borg in the late 1970s.
He captured the World No.1 ranking in 1996, following a 65-2 record on clay in 1995.
45 career titles: 44 in singles; 1 in doubles.
